STAMFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork) - Think you’re stressed in New York? Or New Jersey? Try Connecticut.

A Gallup survey on stress in America conducted from January to December 2012 and just released this month found that among those in the Tri-State Area, 43 percent of the people surveyed in Connecticut answered yes to having stress.

That’s seventh place and compares to 41 percent for New York and 40.9 percent for New Jersey.

In Stamford, one commuter had some words of wisdom for WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane on Tuesday, saying it’s about choices.

“You can’t fight everything that comes your way. So you have to keep moving forward and do the best you can,” he said.

One rail rider said his choice for getting to work helped him deal with the stress.
